I heard of this place from a friend of mine who comes to San Francisco every year for more than a decade and is a recurring customer. I have made mistakes in my booking (I booked the wrong starting day! I basically showed up without a reservation for the day, as I messed up with the time zone!) and the staff was super helpful and basically saved my life. This alone was worth staying here. Overall, considering the alternatives, this is a pretty decent place with a reasonable price. I liked the fact that you have a kitchenette, and you can prepare or warm up some simple food or deliveries yourself. I also liked the coffee machine, although it uses capsules that are difficult to buy by yourself at groceries – getting extras from the hotel is expensive, but as I was alone, I had more than enough, and they replenished them every day. The room was even too big for me, but this was the best option as I had to stay +10 days. Extra bonus: if you are Italian, they have the bidet – at least it was in my room, as you can see from the photos! This was unexpected and great to find. They also have special pet-friendly rooms if you travel with your dog, for instance. I would definitely recommend this hotel as well for family visits. It exceeded my expectations even despite my friend recommending it.

The hotel is set in an old building full of character. Our room was very clean, spacious and very well equipped. Fully functional kitchen area, wonderful. Good location as your close to Union Sqaure - good for shops, bars, place to eat Wonderful little touches - breakfast box, which we opted not to take, the afternoon Cheese and wine was a delight. Despite coming through a pandemic, like many others, this hotel really knows how to wow their guests and I'd definitely recommend the hotel

Brian

Beautiful high ceilings and a lovely foyer. Great options for dining nearby. The hotel offers breakfast and wine and cheese at night. The breakfast was yogurt, apples, croissants, and oatmeal packets, with the option of juice, coffee, teas or hot chocolate. It was plenty to get you started for the day, and excellent to return at night for a tiny nosh before going to a meal nearby.

Anne

Classic feel hotel, a bit quaint and very charming. Location was great, close enough to Union square, Market Street, and Chinatown to walk. Quick and inexpensive to rideshare or take public transit to other locations like Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf and the Embarcadero.

Joseph

Nice clean rooms. The staff forgot to make up the room one day. Breakfast in the reception area was adequate to start the day. NIce wine and cheese happy hour in the afternoon. Close to many amenities.
